Best Colleges for Taking a Swim

What’s the best way to enjoy the warm weather?

A pool, duh.

With warm weather (slowly) coming back into our lives, summer activities are going to be on the top of your list. Hiking, the beach, picnics—all sound great. But there’s nothing like taking a dip in a cool, sparkling pool.

And these schools, compiled by Campus Explorer, have the best of them.

  • The University of Texas at Austin has two indoor pools and two outdoor pools, specialized for either working out or lying out. Get your friends together and study poolside or just take a nap.
  • The University of Minnesota has a huge fifty-meter pool with two lanes as well as a separate diving pool with two platforms reaching up to ten meters. Great for competition or just having some extreme fun.
  • The University of Cincinnati has three pools, a water wall, a vortex, a current channel, and a bubble couch. And to top it off, a fourteen-person whirlpool. It’s like an amusement park on campus. That’s a study break.
  • The University of Missouri has a pristine pool, noted as one of the best by Sports Illustrated. Their expansive aquatic center has everything you need for competitive training to a simple calorie burn. Then you can enjoy the lazy river, hot tub, sauna, and steam room.

If you can’t imagine a college that doesn’t accommodate your swimsuit collection, add these to your list.
